He wont have lollipop and shirt bundles this time. I estimate that was around half of AH just based on pure sales (275k being bundles) . I think between 118k or 150k is more of a real guess if it's a surprise drop on Christmas. I'm just using Ed Sheeran, Doja Cat, Summer Walker for how a pop act will do. The Highlights had his biggest hits and only did 88k
bruh, the fact that The Highlights did 88K suggests a new album will do at least 200k

also the artists you are comparing him with are not really on his level especially doja and summer walker. and ed Sheeran never really had big first week debuts. he was all about longevity.
im lowkey tired of people underestimating him even after seeing the big numbers he pulls everytime he releases

oh and dont forget he released AH during the first week of covid lockdown and streaming for everybody was at a low then. But he still pulled like 220M streams in the US in just a week. His streaming would def be bigger than the pure sales if it was released even a week before its actual release
bruh the highlights was a compilation album with already released songs. why would it do sell so much first week with streaming being his main power?
I'm just using that as a reference since its his most recent project. I think it did great if we compare it to Beam Me Up Scotty by Nicki Minaj doing 80k this same year but in other instances Drake's compilation of already leaked songs Dark Lane Demo Tapes last year selling a remarkable 223k and Taylor Swift's Red this year getting a re-release selling 605k help give a rough estimate
It's not unusual for music already released to not sell that well. We have examples of it doing big numbers.
150k is just my personal guess if I'm wrong then I'm wrong. I'm not HDD but we do have a single out to judge the hype as of right now.

im sure you know Drake and Taylor are like at much higher level than Abel when it comes to numbers. They are always gonna do big numbers and it aint it to compare Abel with them. He is not at their level yet. also songs from DLDT were never on streaming before its release so they are still counted as new songs for the gp who dont really even know they were leaked. Same with nicki minaj 's mixtape. it was never on streaming until it was. and you know taylor, whenever she releases an album, its bound to do big numbers. and also yes you are right there was a time when albums had music that was already releases did big numbers. but that was in the past. before streaming existed and everyone were buying music. Now there are more artists than ever and sales are basically dead. look, im pretty sure you were bored reading this, but all im saying is maybe we should wait until the music releases to predict its numbers. I mean, i hate saying this, but the dawn could actually do 150K if the album is s***. But we all know it wont be
ikr. ik i was talking huge paragraphs rn. but I was just trying to explain that we shouldnt be underestimating Abel

Lmao in what world is Abel plateauing at 150k? Even with a surprise drop the week of Christmas (pls no) he’s surpassing that
Why do y’all respond to Darkest Angel when he comes ITT
been known to have them blocked for a while now
150k is too low for him imo considering he did 170k ish with MDM, (6 songs). However, pop releases do tend to sell less first week, so 250k FW is possible

Quality plays a part in these because word of mouth and honestly MDM was f***ing incredible so that boosts the numbers
I'm saying 150k because I usually guess conservative estimates and use other recent examples as a basis. I don't like to just reach numbers out of nowhere. If TMB did better that would be a good sign to use but it flopped.

where and when did TMB flop?
cuz on it made the hot 100 year-end in just 15 weeks, is a top 3 hit in canada and still charting in the top 50, and made more year-ends

Oh well at least we can say it was a international hit. I live in the US and that s*** came and went like literally it fell out of the hot 100 almost 2 weeks ago. Save Your Tears and One Right Now are dropping in the 30's currently. Moth To A Flame also flopped here it's at 94
This was the TMB run in the US
Honestly its growing on me but the chorus is weak

its still a hit in the US cuz it made the year-end. its just not a big hit like his previous leads.
