is this a mid 80s Bad B-team situation
Is this a MJ BAD reference ?
THE FINAL LEG BEFORE SHUTDOWN implies that there is a Shutdown or a grand finale to the Opera.
Kinda bittersweet that the tour is coming to an end soon. What a run it’s been since 2022.
someone said flacko/abel song dropping in november
why would someone troll with an ASAP Rocky Abel collab
could it be true? i assume GTA VI soundtrack

justice as dp's perpetual understudies, busy p gotta be so rich
Abel’s just the GOAT man. Dude has genuinely gotten me through so much in life. We’re so blessed to be alive to witness his art in real time. Never gonna be another artist like him.
Do you guys think its still possible for him to gain a third musical peak just in terms of success?
when he reached his first one (2015-2016) with BBTM/Starboy most thought that would be the biggest he'd be, but then he managed to to follow it up with an even bigger run in 2020-2021 (After Hours/Superbowl)
It'll be an extremely tough act to do imo, but if anyone can it would be him
I have no doubts about the music though, he's too talented, I'm sure he'll still deliver quality as usual

Tbh i think his dominant run is over. He’s still gonna have hits here and there but i dont think he’s gonna be running the industry anymore like he was between starboy and after hours.
Musically and artistically tho i think hes still got it in him and gonna be dropping gems for a long time.

I have said it before and I will say it again... If he truly locks in and goes all out with a new character (like he did with After Hours but takes it even further) then he might reach another peak...
Everytime we think he reached his ceiling then he always breaks it... If he played it safe he would have stayed at the Beauty Behind The Madness level of fame and still had the hair forever, then came Starboy and completely changed everything... He said F the hair and who you thought I was and then it happened again with After Hours

Short answer: no
HUT is such a goated album.
Shame it’s so underrated

Idk. Pop music is kinda completely over the synth stuff right now. It’s all country & indie folk stuff dominating the charts at the moment. If another huge era is what he wants with his next album, he’s gonna have to drastically switch up the sound

Musical peak: for sure, I think he’s gotten better and better every album this decade
Popularity peak: completely depends on the style of music he does with this next album. If it’s another synth-heavy album, I don’t think it’s gonna make much noise
