Plot contrivance. Instead of telling Rick (like he tried to do the previous night) now we need to have him pretend like he did kill his dad that way Rick snaps and we get our ending. But but let’s make sure his two body guards conveniently walk away so Rick can kill him.

Mac Wit Da CheeseNgl when Goggins casting was first announced I was thinking it’d be one of his eccentric characters and it was a perfect fit. Kinda disappointed he ended up being some stoic guy. Eccentric Goggins is always an entertaining charismatic character to watch
Also the staff this season is probably the least memorable but hard to top how crazy the manager was in season 1. Which reminds me how funny it is that Belinda worked right under him in season 1, still works for the White Lotus company, and was acting like she was above a little blood money. I liked her ending tho
worst casting of all time lol. the zany front desk manager was there for the taking. i guess white didn’t want to continue to milk that character archetype tho.
