We have entered the lower stages of complete technological domination over man, and the climate crisis has already begun, Jakarta being evacuated permanently due to flooding. Humans are inherently incapable of universally harnessing the burden of abstract consciousness, and it has driven our species to its own collapse due to rampant egotism, material self-interest, hedonism, and existential dread. By century's end there will be large chunks of the global population perishing, and the global supply chain will be in shambles. There's no hope for the future, there is no change on the horizon, and there is no better world that awaits. This is the beginning of the end.

“Incapable of abstract consciousness”….that’s a great statement. I agrees at the beginning of humanity anything was possible. We now know harvesting resources for monentary gain and comfort is not what was best for our home. But it’s really not too late. What we need to do now is change our thinking. Get rid of boarders, money, practice loving one another and fixing this planet. We still have time!

i do think it's a bit exaggerated in it's doomerism and i don't like when it talks about "carrying capacity" because it's normally a dogwhistle for eco-fascist "overpopulation" rhetoric
