as someone who’s been working on AI music for a long time it’s tough to be truly collaborative with AI like you can another writer it’s just not the same

Yeah it's common for rappers to have a writer when it comes to the hooks/chorus of a song sometimes. It doesn't surprise me that kendrick has done the same. But that's the same case for that Drake song. I think it's just the melody of the hook and chorus that was done by another artist so it'd be interesting to see how people would react to that
