It’s really not hard to comprehend at all.
I feel like most of you that can’t decipher what the tweet means simply don’t know that “Love Hate” is the name of a dream album
It’s really not hard to comprehend at all.
Imagine having no context like I did when I originally read it this s*** is absolutely not understandable

It was everywhere. You can Google the dream the Weeknd and filter the results to 2011 2012 if you want
unlike PND, The Dream actually has hits and has made great albums
this is mad disrespectful to what he has accomplished.
Party has accomplished just as much. Party has hits and has made great albums
So did weeknd this album without bundles homie.
And that last album is almost diamond to from Bruno and Grammy award winning
Bruno is not pulling a billion first week streams I can assure you that
Party has accomplished just as much. Party has hits and has made great albums
party doesn’t have a single hit and his albums suck ass
The dream got numerous top 40 hits
Shawty is a 10, falsetto, I luv your girl, rockin that s***, throw it in the bag
The biggest hit Party has ever had was Believe It, which was primarily cuz Rihanna is on it and even then it didn’t have the staying power of any of those songs. Outside of that, his biggest song was Come and See and not even a drake stimulus could get that s*** into the top 50
Don’t ever disrespect the dream again by comparing him to lames like Party

Come and See Me - 3x Platinum
Not Nice - Platinum
Loyal & Believe it on their way to certs
Dream:
Shawty is da S*** - Gold
Falsetto - Gold
That’s it

You really can't compare gold/platinum status between those two eras. Actually, never compare the streaming era with any other era of music, at least not when it comes to numbers, charts and all that stuff.
PND is nice and all, but let's admit that the only reason for him having commercial success, is that he's a frequent collaborator of Drake. He makes good, but forgettable music, and nobody will ever write these kind of articles about any of his albums for their 10 year anniversaries:

You can actually. Single certs were harder to get in that era but album certs were being handed out like candy. Any way the way things are now reflect the real popularity of a song, back then it was a lot of payola and gatekeeping.

Album certs were handed out like candy in the 90's and early 00's...not by the end of the decade though. Albums sales took a serious hit, and piracy were really at an all time high right before streaming became a thing, when Spotify launched.
I agree that today's era is, in a way, better in reflecting what people really like and listen to.
