After reviewing, most of those songs on that “random” extended album that came almost 3 weeks after a 23 song FATD, talk about hearing all the things being said about him and his ability to snap if he hears those things (red button, evil ways, stories about my brother)

What’s most wild is You Broke My Heart is a love song that’s masked in subliminal disses. If you really read the lyrics, it’s about a friend/rapper, not a chick. This is quintessential Drake, dissing through a hit song that sounds like it’s for the hoes.

This future metro album felt like it kept getting delayed during that time. My theory is that Drake put that together and dropped it to step on their release as they were maybe trying to step on his. I think he knew about this a long time ago

I also agree with parts of this theory. Other rappers just catching up after getting s*** on 6 months ago. Crazy how the narrative is that Drake has to respond as of yesterday knowing the larger context.
