Alienation is the divorce between your essence and existence. The inescapable disillusionment of spending your days building things that are never yours. It is in this process that you lose what is human about you, the yearn to create. And all that’s left is the animal within you; the desire to consume.

You’re probably gonna go into debt and then get stuck in a field that you don’t like. Then you lose what makes you human and consume in order to chase a high

Yeah man, just s*** on him for wanting to do something and tell him that he's going to be in the wrong field doing the wrong thing and lose his humanity.

    Nothing wrong with that.

Not what I mean by that. I get why it comes off that way tho. I’m trying to say that people are eaten up by debt, soul crushing jobs, having to fork over their money to landlords etc. and in turn people consume. Whether that’s clothes, jewelry, cars, sex, religion, television. By themselves none of these things are bad but they are often used to escape our reality.
