Artists get credited for every little input so u never know what they actually contributed unless u hear a ref track

Even with a reference track you have no idea the amount of contributions that were made then lol. That track could’ve been cut with someone just throwing lines out there after hearing a rough version of what drake had finished and so on so forth.

But I digress because who actually cares about this stuff

Mob Ties for example is something that only a person who came from a particular background can come up with, Drake uses other artists for their styles and their personality and presents them as his own, Vory's ref leak sounds more authentic and it doesn't sound like he's reading that s*** off paper because he's doing a lot of different things with his voice while Drake's version is very monotone and stays in the same pace, that's why every timestamp song that I believe he writes on his own have the same tone and style
You can lie to yourself all you want but that's the truth lol, Drake doesn't need to have that many ref tracks of other artists showing him how to rap if that wasn't the case

I believe Drake himself said in an interview years ago that he's the one who pushed for Hush to get writing credits on songs because he'd suggest a different word/words to finish certain verses or tell him if a verse needed a stronger start/finish. Basically a homie with a great rapper ear who'd tell him when certain things rap-wise fell short and tell him when he needed to go harder on certain things. I believe Hush is the one who told him he needed to start and end every rap verse with a memorable/impactful line — it's the reason why he dedicates certain rap songs to Hush.

What's funny is Hush probably would have been more than fine with never getting credit for how he helped Drake but all this shows is that Drake has always been on the money with giving people credit for any sort of assistance he felt they offered him with his music.

I bet you it's dozens of rappers in the industry who have received similar assistance from their homeboys and never credited them for it.
