Samurais and swordsmen had to learn a certain stance, had to know how to handle the sword and what sword they could handle and it wasn’t any Triple-quadruple teaming a person with a sword cause technique goes out the window with that many people, multiplying the chances of someone getting hurt.
A pistol had 6 shots and a rifle had 5. It was impossible to mow down crowds with any gun in those specific times. Of course the guns were still guns but they relied way more on skill and human reaction than just “kill kill kill” like a modern day assault rifle. Also the fact that you inserted the bullets manually means you literally had 6 shots when facing opposition,so there wasn’t really any reloading in a shootout.
These weapons were actually designed for protection and fairness when used against a human. Humans appetite for more destroyed this system, now we have people with killing machines in their homes for no good reason other than to kill as many people ASAP.
you watching samurai flicks and spaghetti westerns OP?

As far as guns,I think they might’ve got it right. Like I said,a gun is still a gun but at least there was still some very human elements in handling one.

For sure man. You ain’t about to commit mass murder with a musket lol
Don’t forget Samurais were taking niggas heads and bringing them back to their lords for a reward. There was a time when people honored duals. They would walk a few paces turned around and try to shoot the other person before they got shot. Now I’m not against romanticizing older weapons/combat but they were still designed with killing people in mind and if people knew how to make assault rifles and had equipment to make them back then they would’ve been made sooner. The plan for any smart person that gets into a conflict whether they started it or not is to sit down their opposition ASAP.

Yep and shooting a person on the back was a serious crime. A killing machine is a killing machine but all I’m saying is that all this stuff was designed with fairness and humans in mind. Maybe they would’ve made assault rifles back in those days if they had the equipment but let’s not forget that at first, assault rifles were only used for large scale conflict.
