“ you gotta be effed up for this one”
Dl link:
If this version won’t play for you:
This guitarist goin off fam 🤯 I just assumed this version was the same as the other just looped. But George Clinton is singing vocal adlibs all through it & it isn’t a sample. This was on the cassette single, there’s clap drums, guitar solo, so many of us are eaaaaaaaarleeeeee. 😭
Just hidden away 👽 🛸🤣
Bruh this is crazy. It doesn’t even say on the 1993 single that snoop x daz or George Clinton is featured on this.
This ending is so epic. 😎
lmao damn. Let Me Ride was my favorite song until my late teens but idk if I’m tryna hear it like that

It’s dope as f*** 🤯
Special mix- Dre was so huge back then he didn’t even list he had George Clinton singing on it. Fam this is wild. @beers @Johan_DeVito @prince @dayo 😳
I remember this remix, dope af
Every time they reissued it : it only said special club mix, they never listed the features.
Man this is hard as f***. Whose on guitar?
Randall jacobs from was not was & boneshakers. 😎
You ever heard Boneshakers? Man that group I gotta do a was not was drop 😭

Gotta do my research on them
How the f*** I never heard of that
See? Youuuuuu get it. I never heard this on Dr Dre mix shows or tributes EVER.
When you say extended club mix, you assume it’s a extended loop not a version that basically explains the origin of let me ride.
that’s different than saying “ oh yea it’s a horn section snoop daz & George Clinton are on it with a 2 minute guitar solo” :they don’t even list it on the reissues.
It’s just in the credits if you buy it.
This explains why Dre was so adamant with the p-funk mob imagery, he was recorded with them in 1992. 🤯
Way down in the credits for the single it says “ inspired by David Jason character from deep Cover” 😳
Gotta do my research on them
The guitarist is the same guitarist on the Let me ride. The man singing is the lead singer in “was not was” they both came from was not was camp. You know was not was from the song “ walk the dinosaur”
This song will show you why I’m a fan of the first 2 lp’s,
Sweet pea , he recently passed away. so raw. Rip to this goat.
Damn this s*** sounds crazy on speakers 🤯 🔊 these horns with this bass and George singing with Jewell & hearing that first class of death row. 😳
there's gotta be a download link to this mp3. and not a youtube to mp3 converter. this is so dope
A lot of us who did our homework on classic hip hop over the years would mostly look at albums or known classic singles, I’ve only recently realized how much forgotten history there is on 12 inch singles and all that, alternates and remixes. Never heard this
there's gotta be a download link to this mp3. and not a youtube to mp3 converter. this is so dope
I’ll get it off soulseek today. 😎
Does snoop have a verse?
Yes, he does, that’s the hilarious thing. It says club mix and no one is else listed on the record.
When it says club mix usually it’s trash generic mix of a house beat that was put together just to drag time on a single to sell a maxi single. That’s what club mix means to me when you look at 90’s records.
What it shows you is the genius of Dre’s camp with Colin Wolfe and the fact they recorded this version at the same time as the original let me ride?
But I think Dre removed Clinton vocal adlibs because he didn’t want to be seen as just using George for rep points & needing George as a feature.
I think Dre wanted his team to be more centered playing instrumentation on top of the few p-funk samples on the record. That’s how I see this move, tbh.
