Yeah the tempest is pretty crazy, I never really use it as a synth because my prophet is just better and I’m 10x quicker with it but you can definitely get some wild sound from it if you really master it, Which I haven’t done yet

Don’t even waste your time with the 5k man it’s the worst mpc I’ve used. If you want a vintage feeling sampler with some modern features go for that Isla s2400, One of the best pieces I’ve ever bought. My mpc x went into storage and hasn’t returned since getting it

I’m honestly still pretty interested in a Prophet X. It got a lot of hate when it dropped but now I’m seeing people come around and say it’s under rated and one of the best synths in the last decade

and i do sound design too even drum (although not drums with massive, i use beat machines physical and vst - or mix n layer prests and downloads - n once in a while just straight white noise forming)

Im not tryna say massive is bad, im jus saying its not the only good fm synth, i think fm 8 easier to get crazy sounds with

fm ugly n got too many knobs tho

but nah its all really the same s***, i just like the extra texture and edge tinge massive has by default + its community
