Meta dropping their AI keychain assistant

OpenAI hired Apple people for their upcoming device

They think they going to drop an iPhone level device people will carry around with them to use AI

I think they’re full of s***. What about yall?

    From FT

Mark Zuckerberg said Meta’s new personal AI agent Muse has become the “centrepiece” of his AI vision, as he unveiled a new handheld AI “charm” device that will feature the interactive assistant.

The Meta chief used the company’s annual Connect event at its Silicon Valley headquarters to announce Muse Charm, a small pendant-like device that fits on a keychain and is activated by a fingerprint sensor.

The device, which features a screen showing the Muse avatar, will also have real-time voice interactivity and is set to be released in December.

Sounds like same bs Rabbit tried to do. The reality is it's just an app and hardware that is basically just used for that app will never work. Also f*** AI

This is likely zuck trying to justify the AI buildout as all tech companies are basically doing rn

  • None of these make sense to me when we already have phones and apple watches.

I have never used Siri for anything other than directions and don't really understand the use case for stuff like this.

Imo we already have enough convenience in most parts of life. I don't need to shave time off of finding a good restaurant or a new t shirt. Self driving cars were the peak of convenience tech.

    We finally did it

Thought we would have s*** like this in 2050 or something when I first saw this movie

Earlier in the year I saw OpenAI had gotten Jony Ive from Apple to design a product for them and they’ve said it was going to be some new gadget everyone carried around with them, the next evolution of the smartphone.

So I’ve been interested in the product these companies are going to try to sell because they’re so f***ing full of s*** thinking they’re developing an iPhone level physical product

    Hoping they both bomb hard

Doesn't matter if it bombs or doesn't which it will but all this does is give them more runway to keep moving billions in circular financing

  • Anyone seen using this in public needs to have their back of their head busted in by a pipe

zuck highkey a one hit wonder

  • The 'Muse' AI agent, which is the core of the Muse Charm, is a new AI agent from Meta that was just released on September 8, 2026. According to reports, it gained 730,000 downloads in the first five days after its release, and in addition to a free version, paid plans for $20 and $100 per month are available. It is positioned as a service where users spend weeks conversing and customizing to raise their own unique Muse character. The Muse Charm is introduced as an attempt to give that character you've raised a 'physical body.

Not hitting 1mil downloads in the first 5 days on the free s***, are they stupid or dumb with this

It's definitely possible just not likely

If they create some s*** that essentially you talk to and it changes the trajectory of whatever it is you're doing out (where is a good place to eat, where can I get these shoes, etc) it could be a game changer to average life for better or worse, subjective grumpy internet opinions of it being some NPC s*** to need a device to tell you where to eat aside

Just feel like an ai bot on an app on the phone can do all that just the same

It all feels like they started with a solution but have no real problem to fix
