that hypnotic beat, the story telling, the delivery, the lil ghetto boy sample boy...
"If I wasn't in the rap game
I'd probably have a ki, knee-deep in the crack game
Because the streets is a short stop
Either you're slingin' crack rock or you got a wicked jump shot" some of the hardest lines ever put on record.
Funny thing is that this isn't even considered the best song on the album.
BIG really got the smoothest flow
I concur. His rapping seems so effortless.
He was taken from this world far too soon 😞
It’s hard being young from the slums eating five cent gums not knowing where your meals coming from
The flow, the rhymes, the message

Scarface
Kool G Rap
Biggie
Slick Rick
(in no particular order) are on the Mount Rushmore of the best storytellers in
hip-hop for me
ready to die is probably the worst cd i ever heard
@s ban this f***er
The GOAT. The best shooting % in music history, the best flow in rap history, the best delivery, insane story telling, insane hit making. There is nothing BIG couldn't do. Only needed 2 projects to wash just about everyone else.
Life After Death might be better than RTD too

Ghostface gotta be there too imo
Also--for those that s*** on Dr. Dre and his influence. Both GOATs--Pac and BIG--heavily inspired by Dre and sampled him to open one of their classic albums (If I Die 2Nite)
West was running s*** until Nas and especially BIG arrived. What a time
its an incredible opener. when your s*** starts like this you know youre sitting on a classic album

Lupe has said that "Life After Death" is the GOAT rap album because it encapsulates everything in the genre. It's difficult to choose between RTD and LAD both are definitely in the top 10.

the intro (which really isn't a track) sets it up perfectly from biggie's birth to this upbringing and involvement in the crime scene.
It's a perfect album for me. If you're into hip-hop I find it difficult to understand how you wouldn't like Ready To Die.

LAD has some incredible highs but is a bit more inconsistent imo. RTD just relentlessly great.

worst troll attempt I ever seen on ktt2.com
