Also De Hallen is cool but I'd just get like lunch there. There's actually some good local spots all around that area so going to De Hallen more than once is a waste

As for clubs there really is a distinction between the top 40/EDM/touristy clubs or more of the techno stuff

For actual Amsterdam vibes definitely De School is a must-go. It recently reopened

De Hallen isnt really great, and Paradiso/Melkweg both got R&B/Hiphop club nights during the weekend which are fire.

Museumplein is lit, Oud West has great cafes and food.

Stayed at 9 Street where my friends lived and it was crowded and hectic af, was fun tho.
