Every person you know, along with every institution that exists, is simply working off of human knowledge and all the flaws that come with it. A lot of people are firm believers or believe they "know" things, simply because they were born into a world where other people have told them it is so

So trust absolutely nobody as being the "absolute truth" or any kind of "authority". Take everything with a grain of salt, and build your own worldview and understandings from what you see to be true for yourself. But do find a way to learn something even from the biggest of idiots and schmucks, even if it's from the context and not necessarily from their mouths. Nurture and grow your intuition because "they" are doing all they can to take it from you.

Understand that you, too, are human and don't know everything, and you may not even know what you think you do. So always be open to learning something new or being proven wrong in your "knowledge". Listen to new/different perspectives as a type of stress-test for your beliefs. At the same time, have confidence in yourself and live according to YOUR truths, and ONLY listen to yourself. Because in the end that's all you really have, and you're the only one who will have to answer to the decisions YOU made

definitely learned this one late, also can be deceiving when some factors in life are comfortable eg. job isnt too hard or something, then you get to a point where you realise that little has progressed over an extending period of time
