gave it a lot of thought and lost a lot of support from close minded colleagues regarding this decision but f*** it I ball
whate would be the best lang to learn (after spanish) as a burgerland native? or what would be the coolest to talk
1000% chinese
for novelty or utility? always thought chinese was a very harsh sounding language but maybe that depends on the speaker

for utility youll be able to travel to and possibly even live in china, which is kinda cool all things considered. being able to receive information from china that is not lost in translation is valuable too; same reason why knowing arabic is cool as well, but chinese feels not as hard to learn as arabic
since you already know the lingua franca and mentioned spanish, chinese is the third option in terms of 'world coverage' you might consider

its actually a very beautiful and musical language because each word has at least 4 tones which change the meaning of the word. it's a very sing-songy language
1000% chinese
My friend double majored with this as one of them. Has made it clear it's the only reason he has his job in business due it to make him so valuable. If you work in business I can see it being a big deal

thats the initial reaction of anyone but i know from my boy that its not that hard to learn once you understand the 'logic' behind it. i tried learning it and couldnt stay consistent. i still want to continue to but with a tutor/group this time around. and yeah its a widely spread language and i feel like we'll be seeing more of it as time goes on
