Dude who owns the label has never been a draw he opened for a B list artist like 10 yrs ago and wrote a few decent songs

I just feel like I should go one more year independent grinding so I can have more leverage and no one can tell me the bullshit these people do

Let me elaborate I’m still not fully finalized/signed that’s what I’m annoyed about like I’ve done everything asked for me for close to a year, that’s why I could legally do this without burning bridges, I thought my manager was under contract to only work with the labels artists but she’s not, and she gave me a good ass fee if I do it independent

She already got Grammy award winning producers trying to meet with me and all that, it’s the label and the people running it that are amateurs pretending to be experts

Certainly can to an extent, 90% of profits to me 15% to my manager. All my masters, etc etc. just a flaky unprofessional business with poverty poverty cover art if I could show you my teams art vs them it’s crazy, one I’m at the point where I’m sure I’m leaving im truly letting my nuts drag and letting him know how I could fix his company

No but that is a common practice, I was afraid my manager was in on it and sold her soul if you will but it turns out not one has she not been paid anything for my behalf, my boss is trying to demote her and or have 2 people watching over her at all times, just because she’s recovering from a car accident. It’s not protection they’re stopping her from doing her job z a
