OT: it's a solid promotional service. you just gotta be hella top of mind nowadays. take advantage of people/exploit every tool that's available to you.

the culture is toxic and I guess you would do well if you adapted to the climate.

If I could go back. I would probably not have uploaded any songs whatsoever.

You can make music for sure but to properly release anything you're gonna have to be spamming.

As an independent artist that is 100% the requirement.

No one likes to be spammed.

So you're pretty much f***ed unless you have a crazy bankroll to make your spam/shameful plugging look legit.

Probably best to not properly release s*** and push around your local scene/niche...make a few projects and keep them close to you.

Exactly 😆. Spam is the only way. 👍. And that's to get a deal. You are not going to reach the end consumer without it.

They doing the most for clout rn. Spamming up the timeline with dumb s*** 25/8. Everything a rollout. Nothing sticking without heavy label involvement.

Make what you want. If you want to promote it in this climate best have a way to penetrate.

Of course you can build a fan base but that's going to be through consistent visibility. Sounds like spam to me 😭

People that think putting yourself out there is "spam" will never go anywhere in any industry that requires you to push yourself even a little.

But thats ok, not everything is for everyone. That's why "regular" jobs exist.

Any type of independence without an infrastructure handled by someone else involves "spam". From personal owned businesses to art etc.

The first rule of business is to let people know you exist. How else will you become anything, how else will people know who you are & if theyre even interested?
