Shenmue is ridiculously overrated tbf

I see where you're coming from and I agree to an extent. However, putting classic Rare games and landmark title Ico on there was insane

i was so sad i never owned a dreamcast and then i finally played shenmue and went straight back to the playstation 2

It was pretty groundbreaking graphics-wise when it came out. It always sucked ass when we talk about gameplay though

Facing an impending 3D assault on two fronts (PS1 and Saturn), Nintendo needed something big to keep the focus on its aging SNES. Rare delivered with Donkey Kong Country, and the masses--fooled by the pretty plastic graphics into thinking they were playing the second coming of Kong--rejoiced.

But is it actually good? DKC2 and 3 were improvements, but as a whole, this series got more respect than it truly deserved.

The writing is a bit poor at times but I found it interesting that even back then, people called these games overrated. Some of these titles on the list are loved nowadays

I was very disgusted by how he talked about #10. That's a classic. The only one that's overrated would be #1 imo. That s*** did not age well
