I mean the music gotta be good ofc
Ya'll keep meming MMTBS as "bad" yet it's highly critically acclaimed, went Platinum is less than a year, is certified Gold/Plat in 5 countries outside the U.S.(Her Loss only in 3), produced his highest grossing tour, and has more than 2 billion streams.
It's just a forced narrative that mostly exists on KTT at this point lol.
MBDTF? Lol
The bar is in hell for 2020's hip hop lol.
And I'm cool with the album.
Nigga that s*** was borderline ass
4:44 was really good!
Weren't ya'll bashing Kendrick for doing the same exact thing that you're describing though?
Theyre always making up arbitrary rules that only pertains to Kendrick on this site
Thankfully the man keeps winning regardless
kanye had kid cudi sounding good drake got std redd on his album saying shake that ass for drake
Honestly Nevermind was his 444 you fool
This album is mid at best. Cool beats here and there, decent verses here and there....but c'mon lol. A few tracks had some vision but weren't what they could have been.
All in all feels like another bloated Drake album. He has lost his touch.

It's just funny to me how they're held to different standards in music. And I say that as someone who appreciates how they both occupy different lanes.
And MMTBS being a "poorly received" album is literally a meme. By all means, the album was highly acclaimed, sold well, streamed well, produced his biggest tour, and charted fine.
It's only on KTT where it's apparently seen as Kendrick's Big Day or Revival lol.
Reminds me of when KTT tried to meme TPAB being a bad album that nobody listened to or "critic bait." Remember those days?
