People have better things to do than seek out a PS4 on their twitter timelines.. why is it “stupid” to not have to compete with bots when you want to buy from a normal retailer?

People are paying way over market value for houses because there’s not enough.
Buyers are partially to blame for this too. PS5s do not appreciate in value like sneakers or houses. There shouldn’t even be a resale market for them but there simply isn’t enough.

There’s enough housing and PS5’s to meet market demand, but people create an artificial scarcity so they can exploit and advance their own wealth from other peoples needs
It’s less like your example and more like a company producing a million shoes for a million people, but 100 people buy 10,000 pairs each and sell them to the million at a markup
Which, morallly, is contradictory to people who consider themselves empathetic and fair. To do such a thing to needlessly advance your own wealth when you could work a productive job is exploitative and evil

There’s definitely enough housing for everyone. That sounded dumb now that I read it back. Just wanted to point out that people resell houses too.
I’m not defending scalpers, just don’t think there’s an answer to it unless people stop buying from them. Unfortunately that’s not happening.
