Rush is great imo (I saw their last tour) but they came later and also did a pretty unique thing. still influential

Styx had more impact for the AOR stuff (again almost 10 years after Yes made their influential works) but that wasnt exactly a genre that lasted and widely influenced others the way Rush and Yes did with progressive metal bands etc.

if you talk about progressive rock music then Yes will always be mentioned as one of the names who codified it along with pink floyd, genesis, ELP, king crimson
