500k times in 24 hours? That’s impressive asf. I think I seen it on the top 200 on AM too. For it to be a tidal exclusive at first and still have that longevity streaming wise is amazing. I kinda see the classic argument for that album now. I know sales aren’t everything but the fact years later it’s still pulling mad streams is dope especially for a dude who I thought was washed up at that time.
It got released on AM like a month n a half maybe 2 months after it’s initial Tidal release. It ended up doing 150k in sales from the AM release alone iirc. Doing that much 2 months after the album released, yea if he was able to get the release for TLOP right, can’t even predict the numbers accurately.
Billboard and RIAA at that time were disputing all of Tidal streaming numbers so he didn’t get any type of certifications for his numbers when it was exclusive iirc.
Idk about that
600k isn't an unreasonable thought if there was no marilyn manson/dababy controversy, a traditional album rollout with singles and promo, regular instagram posts/advertising, Spotify headline, etc.
I don’t think anything top Grad era tho
I’m not sure he’ll ever be liked like that again

Yeah man, definitely worth going back and giving it a listen not sure if you’ve listened to donda yet but if you enjoy it there’s a good chance you’d f*** with TLOP
I see this often, but I wasn’t a fan like that anymore at that point so I wasn’t really paying attention to that rollout. The hype was that crazy?
TLOP was the pinnacle of being a Ye fan IMO. 2015 we were all so hyped to see what he could do, early 2016 those SoundCloud singles it was truly an incredible era
What does the general black population think
The love him too. Don't confuse the loudest with the most.
