WHY IS DID HE SWITCH THE SONG UP HALFWAY THROUGH. This had potential to be one of the greatest Drake songs ever

leave the listener wanting more... very effective.

also sometimes artists just never get around to 2nd verses/bridges etc...so they post the small idea of a song they have as is even if its not complete

Drake needs to desperately reduce the beat / dramatic song switches. And we know some OVO insiders read KTT2 so please relay this to drake OVO members who are reading this lol.

I think the idea of satisfying all of his different type of fans is a constant internal challenge to him as he composes his albums. Since he has been criticized for albums being too long / not concise, I think he started to see the beat switches as a way to satisfy different fans all on the same track by combining different sounds on one track.

But doing this too much just leaves fans of each part of the song not satisfied instead because they want full tracks of their preferred half.

It isn't effective imo. It leaves listeners wanting more but not getting the satisfaction in the end for the unfinished half. There is no end resolve.

With the 2 years he had to make this album, he had more than enough time for less beat switches. Constantly not flushing out songs can start to show he is too scattered brain or a bit lazy sometimes.
