we're out of college with our masters and yall still saying this.
give it up
The very very oldest edge, sure. But most of you aren't even 20 years old yet. I, myself am not even far off removed of being a zoomie myself (was born a few months before the 'cutoff') but let's not act like the cancer that is social media isn't causing absolute brain rot to most of them (primarily younger zoomzooms) collectively.
Also I'm not just s***ting on them, because yeah, like you said: there's plenty of completely functional normal people who are within that range.
Im so glad I was born in the 1920s and didn’t have to grow up listening to this autotuned millennial garbage that plays all the time
you cant convince me this type of video doesnt give brain damage
Thanks for the warning Will not watch.
imagine being pressed about what a younger generation is doing
song sucks
but like “this is what gen z listens to…” come on man
boomer ahh attitude
Someone animated this, wrote the song, and recorded this.
think of how long this would've taken in the 90s

i just still dont see it this way
theres always the "thing" thats got the young generation captivated thats gonna supposedly rot their minds. every generation has its own. its like cyclical.
i did nothing but dopamine farm on my gamecube when i was 7. we always turn out fine.
shrug
The YOUTH is being POISONED by HIP HOP STYLE SATANIC DEMONS who want them DISOBEY their PARENTS

Not just saying it to 'clutch pearls'. Not kidding that zoomies are very mentally stunted and mentally ill. You should read the book 'The coddling of the American Mind'. It paints a great picture of the issues.
The beginning of a generation and the end of one kinda gets grouped together, they both kinda the same, you can relate to millenial s*** and gen z s***, whereas someone born in like 2006 probably won't relate to as much as s*** as you
So people refer to the middle point of generations than the beginning or ending point
Plus old people that don't know the differences and been complaining about whichever generation for years
You don't remember the "Generation Y Bother" news articles when we was trying to make a comeup?
They was hating on Generation Y lol

Millennials were the only generation talked about online until like 2016-2018. Unfortunately for Gen Z they basically got extorted for their culture
Now that I’m adult
I realize $30 not a high fee, just a high fee to spend on a jobless nigga who don’t pay rent 🫡💯💯💯
need mr krabs to make me unwatch this
Probably some truth to that, but not to the extent where zoom-zooms are. Their childhood and adolescence have been ultimately shaped by social media use and corporate big tech companies. The most important years for brain development have been controlled by these companies. They treat them like science lab test mice.
Im sure your upbringing was completely free of corporate influence because you watched nickelodeon

but how? to me we seem much more confident in ourselves. much more self accepting and aware of our personal neurocies and traumas than every other generation. more accepting and unrepressed in our sexuality. more committed to taking care of our bodies and our minds. so i just cannot see this at all
i look at older generations and they generally seem too scared to go to therapy or accept they have issues. too lazy to keep a skincare, self care, workout, meditation routine. lying to themselves about deeply imbedded personality issues or traumas.

Television has the FCC completely ruling over it. The internet has nearly no regulations. This is a terrible argument you have.
genz is like a 14 year span. half likes rap like drake kendrick cole etc other half 🌚

Zoomers, and really Millennials too (you could throw them in the mix) are just as discriminatory as other generations. Just not in the same ways. Older generations were ultimately shaped by times where racism, sexual identity, and other 'identity' differences were looked completely down on. So yeah there's lots more acceptance of lgbt+ and religious differences as most zoomers were teenagers or younger when gay marriage was legalized, also when modern wave feminism was picking up steam, basically you're right where personal identification is more 'accepted'.
But at the same time zoomers are much more discriminatory in other ways; most of them have a bleak outlook on life and measure success in utter materialism: So if you're not doing the same thing as someone you're considered 'failure' or 'weird'. You'll be alienated by peers.
Gen Z rejects peers who use Android: businessinsider.com/gen-z-android-users-teased-peers-iphones-2023-2
Gen Z is the most materialistic generation:

Gen Z alienates peers who do not share the same poltiical views:

Gen Z mental health issues:

(I did not just pull these sources out of my ass either, these all quote significant studies done by credible research companies)
Another discriminatory thing too among zoomers is the sheer ageism that presents itself in that group of people. There's a weird mentality that 'once you hit 25 you're OLD or outdated' among zoomies, I've seen this plastered all along social media (when I was still on it). Are you really going to act like this doesn't exist? They're extremely obsessed with their youth and are mentally stunted by it.
"more accepting and unrepressed in our sexuality. more committed to taking care of our bodies and our minds. so i just cannot see this at all"
Are they though? Per statistics zoomers on average have the least s***out of any other generation at its age. You can argue that people are more accepting in their sexuality, but if you're part of the 'loneliest' generation that does not date: how would this even present itself as a relevant characteristic?
psychologytoday.com/us/blog/the-myths-sex/202209/generation-z-is-missing-out-the-benefits-sex
Also; "taking care of our bodies and our minds" is a bit of a baseless statement. What's the meaning behind this?
"i look at older generations and they generally seem too scared to go to therapy or accept they have issues. too lazy to keep a skincare, self care, workout, meditation routine. lying to themselves about deeply imbedded personality issues or traumas."
I can kind of agree with this: although I would say millennials originally started the 'mental health care' wave that zoomers bought into. Every general grouping of people will have those who don't accept they have issues. Zoomers just put it all out in the open really. Is it done for attention though? Well it could be argued that in some distinctions although most of the time it could be legitimate.
Also the "too lazy" statement, you wouldn't understand because when you become an adult it generally becomes harder and harder to find time to take care of yourself. That's not a generation bound thing.
