RenBopImpact wise drake not being here would have an effect like no other that our generation could even imagine . This is obvious and ain’t even an argument
This also goes into artistry since you can’t be mid with that amount of musical impact
I like Drake’s (older) music, I’m a fan of his more focused work like IYRT, but I fail to see any impact he has made.
Maybe he was the first mainstream radio rap/sing combo artist, but that’s it.
He took 808s direction and made it his own, as did many other artists.
But where is his direct influence?

That’s true, those are popular artists, but Drakes the one that learned how to water down the sub-genre just enough to feed it to the masses like fast food.
I think he should be commended for being a legendary salesman, and one of the best marketers of the 2010s.

Literally all these hybrids now literally look up to drake and respect drake . Mans put so many artist on whether it’s a feature or just support. Drake is tied to so many artist with features that his impact is sprinkled across a whole decade. Plus his music regardless of individual opinion is timeless to most . That’s why his old albums do well year in and year out . No rap artist has carried a run the way he has either . The impact is easy to see man but i guess time will continue to show this . It’s no other artist in his peer group with the same amount of influence
