EA deluxe
great project. Really. but I like After Hours a lot more. Just for me personally
But I get why you’d say that
It makes sense to me because the production isnt important to the message of the album. And if the album was truly great, it would be
u really proving every stereotype about Denzel curry and Tyler stans
Its one of the best produced and mixed albums of the year...
And? Just because the production is expensive doesn't mean it's benefiting the album

Good production doesn't benefit a album?
Im really struggling to comprehend ur points
We were talking about music. You post fonts.
Once again, it's painfully obvious that Stranger Things is the only point of reference y'all have to any 80s inspired music.
Lol you have no clue what you’re talking about
My point is that the weekend’s whole approach to making music is like stranger things. Rip off vintage styles to appeal to a consumer base that is increasingly receptive to nostalgic aesthetics. There is not a single new idea he presents on the album. It’s “80 inSpiReD” so? There’s nothing original he’s just remaking what’s already been made and moaning about being a junkie. This is what Bruno Mars does and this what the Weeknd is doing. He got into Scorsese and bites his movies for his lame music videos. At least with drake we know he’s unoriginal and repetitive, the Weeknd hides behind marketing and patinas to mask the fact that he makes average and recyclable music
but if the weeknd brought new fans to 80s music
then make sure to peep the QUEEN of POP music

Just close this thread I mean don't they just get it?

Real fall music
Weeknd's annoying because he keeps dropping trash despite having one of the most iconic voices of his generation

great write up tbh

Already said this, he should just stick to making covers

Do you think Heartless is a good song BECAUSE of metro boomin and the way he produced it? Or would the song work with a different producer/instrumental? In my opinion I think it would. The production on After Hours doesn't really do anything for me.

Yes its a excellent beat from one of the best producers rn?

I promise you none of these people are going to seek out music like this if the weeknds name isnt on it

And that’s lame asf
If I’m going for a drive or bike ride or if I’m having a drink or whatever w my girl I’m throwing on the party album before I throw on The Weeknd album
weird how some of the people itt called AH a good album, but totally s*** on it at the same time. schizophrenia much?
anyway, it's a decent 7/10 album imo.
Definitely one of the most overrated releases I’ve seen on here. Not a weak album but people were really forcing it to be a classic when it simply was a good project
And? Just because the production is expensive doesn't mean it's benefiting the album
to me it does
