Sega always has been and still is a game developer despite their organizational dysfunction in the 90s. Konami is just dumb boomers hopping on a trend, scaring off all of their talent with scummy business practices and then hopping off of said trend once they’d effectively destroyed everything that their employees built.

Looking back I liked Shattered Memories too at top of my head, SH4 is the forgotten gem tho I’d put it up there with two first games

So apparently some word going around for a while that two new Silent Hill games are being in the work, ever since lot of articles were made about it, Konami commented on it basically confirming they’re working on a new Silent Hill game which then gives credit to the leak;

I read that Masahiro Ito said he’s working on a game so could be related since he’s a known SH artist? also Kojima stayed his next game will be horror but I’m not going down that road, I don’t believe they will ever do anything together again

But also the filmmaker of the first SH movie ever way back threw this:

"I have two horror film projects with Victor Hadida. I am working on the adaptation of the video game Project Zero (known as Fatal Frame in the United States). The film will take place in Japan. I especially don’t want to uproot the game from its Japanese haunted house setting. And we’re also working on a new Silent Hill. The project will always be anchored in this atmosphere of a small American town, ravaged by Puritanism. I think it’s time to make a new one."
