Not as bad as I was expecting. The scene with the gods was pretty trash though. 6/10

Loki not worthy of vallhalla, dudes in viking hell lmao

Then again jane not worthy of vallhalla either maybe mcu disney pg vallhalla got different standards lmao

idk maybe he can get off on a technicality making a grand sacrifice for his bro and basically helping save the universe by keeping thor alive

like how vegeta got to keep his body

  • Needed way more Christian Bale smh

thor probably gonna see valhalla in thor 5 in some capacity

and he’ll get to see his full family again (odin didn’t die in combat but he did rule asgard and did a lot so he might get in anyways) along with heimdall and jane

thor has to pick between his daughter or being reunited with everyone he lost

I thought it was clever that they played on how both gorr and jane were both kept alive by their weapons/powers

I forget how it was worded but it was a clever parallel and made a case for both of these big stories being truncated and thrown together

yeah it was nice too how Thor adopted his enemy’s kid, similar to Odin with Loki (pretty obvious tho i kno)

Little girl is Hemsworth actual daughter too

He put his whole family in the movie (2 boys are the younger Thors in the running montage & his wife is wolf chick)

    they should've just pivoted,

kinda like a mix of what your saying

The whole POINT of the MCU is the fact that it now feels like a lived in, live action Comic book universe

I agree they should've refocused, but not rebooted

I thought they would make mutant genes activate after all the snaps that happened on Earth and then start just focusing on that while letting all the movies up to endgame be just "history" and background info.

I thinkk they doing that, but they just taking way too long to show what the intentions are

are we building a young avengers first
are we going straight into Kang
    when is Galactus,

Their pacing actually isn’t as bad as I thought …I think we’re being impatient just cause we want another infinity war/endgame level movie so bad..but we tend to forget that took a 10 year lead up

They took 4 years after iron man to tease Thanos

Endgame was 2019…2020 didn’t really count cause no movies but even with that, it’s only been 3 years and next year with Antman they’re gonna show Kang as an actual threat so that’s the same 4 years to tease the next big bad

I clocked out of the marvel stuff after endgame and this is the first marvel movie aside from Spider-Man that I’ve peeped and ngl at the end credit scene where Hercules is revealed like 2 people clapped.. I kinda felt like an idiot lmao s*** just reminded me of the memes

ngl i just realized thor can never actually die in combat and be "dead" right? like he'll be dead but at the same time he'll be in valhalla so for audiences hes not rlly dead they can give him a rlly dope ending with that

    Risky

came into this movie ready to hate after seeing the negativity and left pleasantly surprised

I don't take Thor seriously and man was boring asf when they took him serious, so I prefer the funnier lane.

lowkey enjoyed tf out of this

Exactly, since Ragnarok and Thor in Endgame I was fine with him being a goofball and for the most part it’s usually on point and really suits his character. Was ready to hate this based off the hype, but I really liked it, laughed out loud at points. Not all the way perfect but pleasantly surprised, good follow up to Ragnarok. Especially Thor’s speeches man, you know he’s full of s*** but has so much charisma it’s hilarious. Also I was ready to hate on Taika in general because of all the stuff surrounding him + he just seems like a cornball in general, but hats off he made another good one.

But yeah everything else moving forward with that unserious, atrocious cinematography stuff all sucks. I think it sucks a little that Tom Holland Spidey is a little too jokey and no ramifications, but NWH was good enough that it didn’t matter that much. It works for the goofy intergalactic space adventure that’s probably about it.

Wtf are Marvel doing at this point it feels like since Chris Evans and Downey Jr. has left the whole project is on a slump.

They need Deadpool back, and get the X-Men in with big names being cast and a cohesive plan.

I feel you, but I feel like the post credit scene of movies in Phase 1 teased each other and tease a bigger plot

Now I feel like post credit scenes only these the next movie in their own franchise (Thor 4 teasing Thor 5 basically, Doctor Strange 2 teasing Doctor Strange 3, etc.) rather than teasing a coherent universe, but yea

Well this is quite the Easter egg

Meik’s notes from that scene where Thor comes to rally Asgard after Gorr’s attack is storyboards for the whole movie

They basically spoiled the movie in the movie
