Wet Dreamz was an instant classic when 2024 FHD was released, but the vocal minority who hated on the song were virgins and losers who couldn’t relate to the song, and thus couldn’t understand what Cole was rapping about.
But 2014 was 10 years ago now, and most of these haters would have (hopefully) got laid now. If this was you, do you now like Wet Dreamz? Do you agree it’s a classic?
Song corny as f*** and I don't ever wanna hear a rapper rap about losing their virginity. I don't really care much to hear rappers rap about getting p**** in general. But it's a very honest track, and I doubt it's a topic that's ever been explored in the genre since a lot of rap is filled with machismo and every rapper is just slayin p**** left and right. So for all that, I give the track and Cole respect.
I'm definitely skipping this track whenever it comes on though
j cole sucks
i don’t listen to it but it’s an undeniable classic imo being that 10 years later it’s still talked about

Honestly wild that it’s 10 years old this year
had already been f***in by the time it came out and i thought it was mid then and i still do now, like all of cole's music

Easier to remember s*** that's embarrassing or cringe
not a classic. not as bad as people say either
Still think the vid is weird af mostly
Song wouldn’t get half the hate it does if it weren’t for the video
The song is cheesy
The video is just weird
Cheesy doesn’t mean bad, sometimes a little cheesiness actually helps the nostalgia/heartfeltness you’re trying to achieve. I think this is applicable to Wet Dreamz. I think if it wasn’t called ‘Wet Dreamz’ and it didn’t have the dog video itd be beloved. It’s a good song
Half these KTT dorks haven’t lost it, they rather be inside bumping that sleeper album Cole was talkin about
I always liked conceptual/storytelling rap music
I personally think a lot of the ppl on the internet who hate J Cole are not people whose first musical language was hip hop so don’t expect them to understand how that was a cool record
Also people don’t want to be on the wrong side of history so bad they jump the gun and will call anything weird
The fact this s*** made it on the radio is really a testimony that Cole is big and in the 3
