I actually struggle to listen to it sometimes because this was the last year for me where the world felt ‘normal’ and it lowkey gets me sad as f***.

Anyways this song is literally above perfection. The soundscape the atmosphere the sense of depravity and desperation evoked by the intro and how Future comes in all hazy and s*** the way that it works as the perfect intro to DS2 and literally SOUNDS LIKE THE ALBUM ARTWORK (the instrumental makes me think of a ocean of purple lean swirling around me as far as the eyes can see) and perfectly encapsulates the aesthetic the greatest opening line in history “I just f***ed your b**** in some Gucci flip flops” (will never forget my reaction to that line) the way the beat builds and switches as Future’s energy increases as the track builds up and he slowly wakes from his lean-induced stupor
