I hate it personally, never do it anymore. It takes the challenge of defeating a wave of enemies or some gauntlet and reduces it to a save and go style of gameplay that is just not nearly as rewarding. Thoughts?
Getting sent back to the opening credit bumpers and losing 1hr of progress >>
Unironically
its not rewarding youre right but in games with s***ty luck based combat like skyrim im quick saving all day
I love it. It prevents some random person from yelling at a game after losing all their progress for the 6th time, throwing the controller at the tv, breaking the tv, telling their parents it fell because it was off balance and you couldn’t catch it in time, going to Best Buy to buy a new tv, getting told the new tv was too much f***ing money, having to embarrassingly return the tv for one only $30 less, and using that slightly cheaper tv for games.

hate when this happens
hate when this happens
It would be very inconvenient for it to happen to someone. We need quick saves.
It's a cool option in a lot of games like fallout where buggy s*** happens and bullshit encounters happen a lot. A lot of games shouldn't have it but some games it's cool to have that option. It's still an optional use

If someone rages this bad over a video game quick saving isn't gonna save them lol they're gonna do it at some point
I do not miss the days of dying and having to start back over at the beginning of the level. S*** was od.
There needs to be a balance. The game shouldn't save so often that it removes the feeling of consequence when you fail but it also shouldn't save so seldom that the player feels frustrated having to redo sections of the game over and over again
It also depends on the game though. GTA is WAY better now that you don't need to redo entire missions again if you fail. But I'd hate it if a FromSoft game started you off at the second or third phase of a boss fight
