Looking to buy a new laptop, current one is showing its wear. Currently looking at a time-sensitive deal and hoping some of you better-versed in this stuff can confirm if this deal is good or not.
It is for a Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i 14 for £423 / $525. Comes with no OS however, would buy a windows key separately cheaper.
Specs are:
Most resource intensive thing I would be using it for is probably just Ableton. Some gaming, but nothing too new or graphically intensive that's gonna be pushing be the limits too far I imagine.
Most I was looking to spend was probably £1k. But from what I'm reading I won't get a laptop with similar specs for this cheap.
Any help or alternative suggestions is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
seems good but
see if you can find out what are the integrated graphics/video card, if you really wish to use for some, gaming @DwindlingSun

Ah yeah, that's where it's gonna suffer. I think it is just uhd 630, which won't run much at all well I guess.
I mainly just play older stuff now and again or indie games though, so might be alright for that. Something to ponder, thanks for pointing it out.

Ddr5 ram
CPU is solid
And you can get Windows for free using the Microsoft Activation Script.
You might not even need it lowkey, the windows license is tied to the motherboard so it might just work

Oh damn. If you compare the playtests between the two laptops on youtube though, the one one I linked does run modern games a lot better
