Honestly sometimes when it comes to TI I just feel like he came up at the perfect time when there was a lack of talent (excluding Wayne, Kanye, etc) during his run because nobody really ever puts him up into those top tier conversations. He has a weird legacy to me. He’s not in the same league as the guys he listed
This. He's a level under imo, with Jeezy and others who were big, but not that big

The Swagger Like Us posse cut really had him gassed it seems

It was dope though. He's a legend, just not a big one lol
Luda definitely wins in my eyes but but it’s definitely an intriguing matchup. I’d argue TI had a higher peak but Luda to me was way more consistent
It's kinda funny because I feel it's vice versa. Tip dropped some mid in the early 10's but bounced back with Dime Trap and LIBRA. Luda was never the same to me musically after Red Light District although his skill level remained the same.
Tip had a strong 06 year esp with the ATL movie but there was hardly anyone popping in 06 which made that year feel stronger for him than it would have if most of the big names dropped that year.
But Luda was everywhere in 03-04 in particular. You heard a Luda hit, verse, or feature everywhere you went and he had one of the biggest quotables ever on an R&B track("Take that and rewind it back. Lil Jon got the beat that make your booty go clap).
But the competition was super fierce in 03-04, especially with 50 and Ye dropping those years.

I can’t argue with what you said truthfully especially the last two paragraphs. Great rebuttal tbh. I’d really like to see this even though it’s definitely not happening
He cant even beat 50. He need to slow his role. He better off battling Ludacris.
And he'd lose that fight too.
no lol
I get that people hate on Eminem for his pop stuff but you have to acknowledge what a hit maker he was

yeah but who tf is playin Not Afraid, The monster, love the way you lie, etc. in 2021?
I feel like a lot of his stuff just isn't for the club or for the verzuz crowd. Guy would need to challenge Tech N9ne or some s*** for a verzuz to work
this t.i. hate on this website corny as hell lmao. a lot of you niggas favorites would be blessed to have the career he does. nigga easily top 15 doa

His career doesn't start in 2009. Even if it did, he could smoke almost any rapper with all these post hiatus songs:
Forever (insta win)
Despicable
Crack a Bottle
No Love
Drop the World
That's All She Wrote
The Ringer
Lucky You
Fall
Not Alike
Godzilla
Gnat
Throw in pre-hiatus songs and Smack Dat and its a wrap.

Ludacris / TI would be the matchup to make if anything of this were happening
I know Tip tells himself he’s on the level of any of those names.
But he isn’t.
He’s not even at the level below them.

His fans. A lot of us even want another Rihanna collab, but she seems done with music
