trouble man wasn't nearly as promoted or backed up by atlantic because it was his last album on that label. it also didn't have a super strong lead single, so that's another reason why it didn't receive the attention it deserved.
eh, you cant rely on politics from these booty ass record labels to do s***. its up to the fans and people who listen to this kind of music to pass it around and put people on it. it was one of the best rap albums of that year, and 2012 wasnt exactly all that stacked. aside from gkmc, most of the drops from rappers were rock solid, even great, but nothing really classic. door was wide open and there was plenty to talk about. people just ignored it tho, which is disappointing
T.I. is soo corny when he raps fast, very overrated rapper. I can't believe he was bigger than Wayne in 2004-2006

Doesn't help that it also dropped on the same day as Finally Rich

wiki says trouble man sold 180k first week, does that sound right? cant remember, but i thought it did much less than that. like a 95k debut week
either way, the critics were tripping on this one. it got a lot of 5/10 and 6/10 reviews. i dont see how thats possible
and yea, 8 years on friday. if i remember im gonna bump it

Nah, it did sell 180k. He had more hype than he had for No Mercy but not even close to what he had for Paper Trail. Sadly, Ball was the only song played on radio so he went with a super mainstream baiting single next album (No Mediocre) and turned off a lot of his fans 2 years later.. About the Money GOAT though
