Eminem's run really isnt as legendary as people make it out to be imo. He had 2 classic albums drop a year apart, in between beefing with every mf who would respond. Then he got too high and forgot how to rap and had to go to rehab for 5 years. He was the most talked about guy in hip hop for a year or two and then everyone forgot about him (until relapse)

Relapse is a good album but nobody thought that when it dropped. If we looked at some end of the year/end of the decade lists from 2009 we wouldnt see relapse on a single one. It put eminem's reputation in the gutter and nobody saw him as top tier after that
