It's insane seeing how many folks roll over for massive tech companies. We're literally sprinting towards tech feudalism at this rate.
There needs to be way more legislative push to keep these guys in line. It's only a matter of time until Google, Apple, Amazon, and Facebook inhabit every single part of our lives, and we're not too far off.

At least when people glued their kids infront of the TV there was a disclaimer saying : "don't try this at home" etc
Tik tok (social media in general) doesn't know how to separate real life from extreme entertainment or propaganda , the lines are extremely blurred and children already aren't equipped mentally to tell the difference (hence why we have disclaimers and age restrictions for certain content)
Same s*** happens w caffeine lol, when I was growing up we had kids drinking 4 loko with caffeine in it and going to the hospital too. I’m not saying it isn’t dumb or that it’s a good thing this challenge is happening but I don’t buy that it’s indicative of some generational failure. Kids have been doing dumb stuff and getting hurt forever

Literally not at all what I meant, and I have no idea why you inferred that's what I was saying.
I was saying posting on TikTok as a whole is ruining the futures for these dumbass kids putting all this s*** public. Not hard to understand.
Corporations/Employers aren't going to employ kids in the future who are posting tiktoks of themselves saying/doing crude, vulgar, disgusting stuff. They do extreme background checks...
That's why when you were a child you were always told "NEVER tell anyone your name online". You post behind a screenname FOR A REASON.
and this new privacy policy makes it even MORE clear that TikTok is stealing your data and using it. Now it's inescapable for the people posting this stuff.
