what's it about?
Watched the first episode it’s alright to have on as a show you can watch while browsing your phone. Sometimes you don’t wanna give your full attention to s***
Laughed at a few of the jokes and I like Burton’s direction. Felt like the episode was a little long for what it is. 45 minutes would’ve been enough
Wanna peep cause I f*** with characters like Wednesday... Queens of Cynicism. Daria was one of my favorite characters growing up.
I hope with its success Netflix lets Burton make a movie or special with the full family. My favorite parts are when they’re all involved
Anyone peep how the parents yearbook is from 1991 same year The Addams Family movie came out?

movies are done
movies are done
Meant like a straight to Netflix one but oh well as long as Burton keeps directing episodes it’s cool
Hopefully the family can be more involved next season
im just trolling fam, but movies are never done tho
it was hyperbolic but tv shows used to be the 2nd class to movies and now its the opposite

I agree only to a certain point, I feel like tv shows are slowly replacing blockbusters
other cinema will always survive and prosper even if disney keeps trying to steal sessions from them all year long
Is this worth investing my time into or just another Netflix show?
Main character gets tiring after episode 2-3..
Feels like a Nickelodeon series with Netflix touch
Is this worth investing my time into or just another Netflix show?
I’m a big Adams family fella and I did not enjoy it in the slightest

it's a big pay off for me cuz i used to be in the minority of ppl who prefer tv shows over movies
now its common

Only you can decide that . The show is doing historical numbers so a lot of people really like it but everything ain’t for everyone . A few opinions won’t be able to help you figure out if it’s for you or not
With that being said i really loved it personally

What’s your favorite Addams Family media?
I appreciate that this is a more mature take on Addams Family with murder mystery plot
Some of the romance kinda cheese tho
EDIT: just finished the season. Finale was the worst episode imo
What’s your favorite Addams Family media?
I’m a big fan of the OG series, I know that’s not everyone’s taste but I think it’s fire
I consider both 90’s movies 10/10 flawless films
I even don’t hate the animated films even though they get a bad rap
The pinball machine the old comic strips
And to kinda elaborate, I find everyone’s performance in Wednesday phenomenal. Casting isn’t the issue. Acting isn’t the issue. Cinematography isn’t the issue. But Netflix has a mad weird flavor when it comes to limited series maybe it’s just not for me. Maybe it’s in the way we consume the Netflix series
but something felt like I was watching a CW show with a major budget and I don’t know if it’s the editing or what, but it does a disservice to the director, the actors, and the IP for what should be a home run

I watched a YouTube video on the evolution of Addams Family in media. I grew up on the 90s moves but might check out the show since it’s not too long. I also didn’t mind the animated ones.
It’s kinda crazy how Addams Family didn’t have a lot of success but lasted this long
-OG show only lasted 2 seasons
-Animated shows never took off
-First 90s film was a hit but the second underperformed (even though it’s considered the better of the 2)
-First animated movie was a hit second one underperforms again (Covid)
Im glad this show is doing well even though there were things I didn’t like. But I agree casting been great I hope we see more of the family in season 2 or if Burton films a Netflix special with the whole fam
