I truly don't understand what you see in that album outside of a few songs

When Steve Berman told him to rap about big screen TVs, blunts, 40s, and b****es, he shoulda listened

It's solid, nothing special but enjoyable for what it is. Would've been a cute, in a good way, retirement album, in which Eminem reinvented himself as the king of the hip hop podcasting world instead of toppling his own legacy down irreparably

Bad Guy genuinely is one of his best tracks and The Monster was a solid pop single, album had its moments

Em would be a 12/10 podcaster and back when he still had a good reputation and was still commercially at the top he coulda really f***ed s*** up. Crazy fumble

Those are two great songs but I feel like there's not much else to speak of really

I honestly liked Berzerk lol. I'm a sucker for fast hihats

Headlights is okay for what it is, Love Game is cool and is self-aware enough to let the corniness slide, plus Kendrick has a crazy feature. Evil Twin also hard as hell

I don't remember the rest of the tracklist beyond that but yeah MMLP2 was cool, enjoyable and underrated album even if Rap God is stupid as f***

It's on par with Relapse and I honestly wouldn't fault anyone for calling it a cult classic, same with Relapse. I'm running it back now and bro was rapping well on there. He fixed the awkwardness you'd get on Recovery and he's being playful and chill but sounds like he's grown up a bit too. Underrated

I love Eminem and he most definitely did not get better with time. That’s the craziest take I think I’ve ever heard about him.

Moments of brilliance still flicker here or there but yeah man kinda went the Dre route but without the self-awareness and quality control that made Dre think twice about dropping Detox lol

They did not flicker at all on Revival or Kamikaze btw lol those were f***ing brutal

I appreciate that he sounds like a 40 year old white rap nerd on here. Miss when dude just owned his silliness and age. It's a solid 6/10 album, and that's not a diss. Anything above a 5/10 adds to a legacy imo

The rapping only became like truly bad on Revival lol. That was shockingly bad. He def lost some his sheen from his heyday but I wouldn't say he fell off as a rapper until 2017

I don’t think he has that personality type or desire though. It would be cool to hear him talk or write more about hip hop or just break down his entire tape collection

Was around the time em was big into hip hop like Naughty By Nature and 3rd Bass and they gave Zev Love X his breakout feature

I wonder because some of Em’s early demos have this way of delivering and rhyming that reminds me of Zev Love X, it’s like a fun, almost jolly but clever style. I just wonder if he was an influence at all because that would be dope to find out
