that album was over 3 years ago and he hasn't rly shown signs of improvement since that. his last album wasn't trash like people trying to say now but it was too long, kinda generic and didn't have enough standouts. also he does that autotune slurring sht way too much now
im still holding out hope for the next tape tho

Ya'll say this about every trap rapper like they have character arcs. Evolve into rapping about what?
i mean the greats do. evolution can include content but its not jus limited to that
future's evolution from dungeon family era to ds1/streetz callin era to honest era to mixtape run to ds2 etc
thug evolved overall as an artist from icfn era to 1017 thug/rich gang/b6 era to jeffery etc
even baby's peers like 21, kodak, yb etc have evolved.
baby has definitely grown from his early mixtape run but he's kinda stagnant rn and might've hit his peak but i think he has a higher ceiling tbh. time will tell

thug was already a passable rapper but he improved as a vocalist/songwriter, went into different genres
future revamped his sound multiple times. became more known for the d***ged out darker, grittier, toxic sht rather than the generic trap&b dude they was tryna make him be
21 learned how to rap, improved his delivery and expanded from just the monotone raps, stepped up punchline game
kodak learned how to make albums, leaned deeper into the concious sht, found more flows
yb got better at everything, the melodic pain songs/ignorant hype songs/even venturing into the emo rap s*** now
