everyone has done shady s*** in their life its how good are you at hiding it i bet you every musician could canceled if we found their receipts

money power respect is really name of the game in entertainment industry

Facts fam, but not even that. I feel like everyone got they own skeletons. Celebs shouldn’t be held to their deaths with dumb mistakes that they made before they got the responsibility they have now. Who ever be digging up past s*** has some insecurity/trauma that they need to deal with themselves. It’s like having a b**** constantly bring up old s***.

I already made a thread about this but was there literally any reason to lock the Doja cat thread ????

Does that mean there shouldn’t be any repercussions for any f***ed up things she’s done?

The only repercussions anyones in a position to give her is to stop supporting her career, if you wanna do that it's on you. My point is that the twitter mob letting people who have committed actual violence slide makes me suspect about their motives.

let's be honest, how many people actually get cancelled?

Only one I could thing of is Sabrina Claudio.. If Breezy, Thugger, Cardi and Kanye ain’t cancelled; no one that really matters will ever get “cancelled.”

exactly. i remember justin timberlake got "cancelled" right before the super bowl. taylor swift was"cancelled" when her phone call with kanye was leaked.

we go through one or two days of outrage from people who weren't really fans in the first place and then it's forgotten about

    I don't see your point.

The "internet" is not this single entity which all agree on who to cancel and who to ignore. Every person who has had a controversy tied to their name has had major backlash follow them, and none of them have ever gotten "cancelled"
    Examples:

Daniel Ceasar toured in big venues last year
Nicki Minaj had the #1 song in the country
6ix9ine had the biggest hip hop music video debut of all time
    Kanye West is a billionaire
Taylor Swift can still sell out stadiums
    Chris Brown still relevant
    Drake still on the charts
    And the list goes on

Theres no "picking and choosing" in the court of public opinion, just a bunch of failed cases. And before someone says "hurr durr what about r kelly", the internet didn't cancel him, the FBI did 💀
