When these the games im supposed to be excited for gaming industry really is done for
Me too
I enjoyed Elden Ring for a while but there was nothing about it that kept me wanting to play on; fight low level enemies, level up to fight stronger enemies, see some cool s*** along the way so on and so forth. I went ahead and deleted it from my pc lol
hate to break it to you but you’ve just got trash taste in games. if Elden Ring didn’t “keep you wanting to play” then you officially don’t like video games and should stick to crosswords and puzzles
haunted chocalatier, silksong, stray, little devil inside, fallout 5 and new Vegas 2, botw2, metroid prime 4, mass effect 4
so much s*** on the horizon
Fallout 5 and New Vegas 2? Huh
When these the games im supposed to be excited for gaming industry really is done for
What are you wanting to play that they arent making, or that you dont think they are making at least
I’ve realized over the years that I’ve become EXTREMELY picky with the games that I play. Out of all the games listen in OP I only care about like 2-3. I wish I still had that spark in me for gaming like I used to.

I meant more in the sense of new interesting IPs. Like im just missing the excitement. No offense about any of the games you posted
Sure there is starfield I guess but I question the quality it will come out and fully expecting ingame purchases or some bethesda f*** up.

I feel you on that actually. That's how I've been feeling for a bit now. I find myself only really excited for the very high end, extremely AAA games like the Uncharteds, Last of Us', gta's, god of wars, etc. I got a backlog of games I purchased recently like Mad Max, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Persona, as well as a few others. I'm sure they are all amazing games, but I cant bring myself to finish them. Yet at least. They dont excite me enough I guess.

Summarized EXACTLY how I feel perfectly

I'm f***in dying for a big budget story driven AAA game

"Kill enemies to get stronger to kill more enemies" you just described like 90% of video games lol

Lol. Well I didn't say more, I said stronger...I find that sort of grind to be boring when the pay off is pretty much the same deal but different monsters & backgrounds. It's a beautiful looking game but not that much
I know this is a popular sort of game but it just doesn't seem to be fun for me
I just found myself not caring to continue after I'd get past a milestone. I could see myself putting in the effort if there was a decent story line to pull me in though.
this drought be years long atp, feel like we haven't had a year where it was constant heavy hitters
like what's the gaming year equivalent to "2016 was a crazy year for music"?
How do you not have a huge backlog at this point? I got at least 10 games just sitting around waiting to be played I'm not even looking for new releases
