He definitely said a ton of anti-Semitic stuff, I’m not arguing that at all. But it was taken to the extreme of “Ye loves Hitler and Nazis” and “Ye is suggesting death to Jewish people” many times over the last few days by posters here.

I abhor all forms of discrimination, but I find antisemitism particularly heinous because it requires a particularly unimaginative and illogical mind to embrace. First, antiSemites target a group because they have been historically targeted. That’s so lazy. Why not go after bodybuilders (what are they secretly planning to do with all those muscles)?

Second, antiSemitism usually requires an elaborate conspiracy system that doesn’t hold up under any intelligent scrutiny. But it does provide a comforting fantasy labyrinth to blame a villain for all problems. Understanding the complexities of the world and the many villains—including themselves for promoting hate—is beyond their comprehension and control. So much easier to just hate Jews.

People think Jews are big in banking and finance because they’re evil and powerful but the only reason they were in banking is because the Catholics and Protestants of medieval Europe BANNED Jews from owning almost any private property or becoming guild members, forcing them into commerce, banking, and finance since they were allowed to charge interest
even the idea that Jewish people are somehow superior to Europeans because of their presence in banking is realistically a product of their oppression and marginalization throughout history

It bit the Christians’ own ass that their mode of wealth switched from to industry and mining to trade and finance, giving their oppressed Jewish friends a LOT of leverage

We are all free to believe what we want but saying assumptions with your whole chest like they are definitely true is not it. Go talk to a QAnon cult member and see how much circumstantial evidence and assumptions they use to spin stories that sound real on paper…it’s really no different.
