when we don't have respect for ourselves, how do we expect them to respect us? It starts from within. Don't start with just a rally, don't start from looting...it starts from within

Forum still making threads/posts on it 5 years later
i hate that i actually had a real similar thought like this today
why you acting like this is unique to TPAB
Straight Outta Compton is like 30 years old and still relevant
People thought the tupac outro was corny but...
" I think that niggas is tired of grabbin' s*** out the stores
And next time it's a riot it's gonna be like, uh, bloodshed
For real, I don’t think America know that
I think America think we was just playing
And it’s gonna be some more playing but
It ain’t gonna be no playing
It’s gonna be murder, you know what I’m saying?
It’s gonna be like Nat Turner, 1831, up in this motherfucker
You know what I’m saying, it’s gonna happen"
that sound familiar?
Honestly people that said the Tupac outro was corny are corny themselves.
I never heard anyone say that s*** until I came here

tpab way deeper than soc
Thread lowkey rubs me the wrong way cus it’s basically using dudes death to big up TPAB as if it was the first album to address things like this
Idk how people let a bunch of white kids in forums and reddit say that is critic bait
One of the most important projects of our generation for sure
why you acting like this is unique to TPAB

Nobody said it was unique
Its the most POPULAR RECENT example
Shoutout pharrell for that hook. Crazy that was made for fabolous
i'm not sure why this got the reactions it got, and I'm not active enough to recognize the trolls by name or whatever
but this is some information i never knew and i didn't take it as being any type of insult. interesting snapple fact.

He’s a drake stan and he’s cited this song/this book in particular as an example of Kendrick not writing his raps
It wasn’t genuine

didn’t kendrick say something like this in the past?

yeah i didn't wanna be the one to say it, but there's plenty of black art that is "still relevant"
i think people are very aware what they're doing when they make these threads (not necessarily this one OP) and it's pretty unsettling.
