i guess just the premise and using body horror to tell a story about a strained relationship. it felt fresh to me but i just started getting into body horror with Substance so i haven’t seen too many

This gets pretty wild by the end but The Substance was honestly hard for me to get through. It's 2+ hours of seriously gross s*** and it rarely lets up. I watched it in two sittings.

As for Together, it's not as good as The Substance but it has its moments. Them snorting and licking muscle relaxers off the floor was hilarious. I think the central concept is fire and I've never seen Alison Brie act badly in anything, so there's a lot to like, but there's some weak acting from Franco and bad writing that drags it down somewhat.

  • is it just me or does Alison Brie look and acts just like Kysten Wiig
