This is gonna be hot ass. Evan’s refusing to suck it up and go make another raid movie is both admirable and stupid

Been waiting for years. Let's f***ing go.

This was solid...2 really great fight scenes and Hardy can elevate pretty much anything but felt like the story and characters needed to be fleshed out a bit more...ultimately the main villains just feel like a couple dudes instead of a menacing threat and other things felt rushed also to where I had trouble getting invested in much of it...solid bloody action flick though if thats all you're looking for

i am very disappointed personally. Of course there is a certain pointlessness in comparing that to The Raid, but I can’t help but to think of how thoroughly done The Raid was in comparison. Just as the poster above mentioned, the villains were very charismatic, there was an exciting progression to the movie, and of course, hand to hand fights are so much more entertaining than gunfights. In Havoc yes there are some very good fighting scenes, but too often the bullets are storming all over the place, dozens of people die, sometimes in very ridiculous manners - which is not necessarily pejorative in itself but felt that way in this case. My two cents!

    Classic.

this felt like a good background film tbh, the fight scenes were dope but i expected more stunt/action work based on how they advertised it. when the story is so by the numbers, the action needs to pick up the slack, john wick is the golden example but obv not everyone can replicate that

i also just cant get behind tom hardys new york accent, it reminded me way too much of venom which i think are some of his worst films. honestly dont think hardy got a chance to really shine here ironically, outside of the fight scenes

Man..this s*** was ass. About 30 minutes in I couldn't take how uninteresting and boring the plot was so I just skipped to the action scenes and was disappointed even more. The way Gareth teased this script years ago I thought he was cooking...smh.

The ridiculous gun shootouts are a homage to John Woo and Hong Kong action cinema.. except they aren't nearly as good.

Yea this was super mid. I could take a by the numbers plot if the action was good but it really wasn’t.

Dope that he got to film in his hometown, but damn.. s*** made for an ugly looking film with the aesthetic he was going for, lol. S*** looked like CGI Gotham City.

I think there was definitely quite a bit left on the cutting room floor but I agree it came across as a weak script...should have maybe had more flashbacks to drive home the relationship between Hardy's character and the bad guys or something and also fleshed out Whitaker's character more...it felt very rushed for almost a 2 hour long movie with no time to invest in any of the characters enough to give a s*** about what was happening...I liked the club scene and cabin scene as far as the action goes but yeah the shootout stuff felt sloppily done and definitely nowhere near the over the top fun of John Woo flicks
