he has a cool story, did two albums way back in early 70s then disappeared for decades, only got back in around 2012

been going back at it since and i love it even more

didn’t mean to say it’s a lesser tom waits but it’s just he did stuff differently after, some ppl like early some like later tom waits it gets divisive kinda like bowie

bowie owes a lot to him, we associate bowie more often to lou reed or iggy pop but scott was his greatest influence without a doubt
