However, the majority of his tracks are not hip hop based, it's more funk inspired than anything.

Which I get, but also isn’t really fair to Tommy because that’s just literally not his primary genre, it’s just what people had latched on to.
It’s also not like he randomly started making hip hop tracks this year, his 2022 album is the same as this one; primarily pop/alt with some hip hop tracks sprinkled in.
