I’ve seen you get smoked on this topic multiple times yet you still parrot this garbage take

i've never been "smoked" once, kendrick is just one of these artists that give niggas fits on here if u say anything about them lol

kendrick is amazing, he has one of the best discography of all time. he has as much impact as cole tho, which is basically none.

Nah this ain’t it man. You or someone else made a thread about this a while back and another poster made a list with over ten newer acts and cited direct quotes as well as examples in certain songs/albums.

yes ofc theres some rappers here and there who took some inspo from him but it's really just not that big in the culture imo. hell, im sure you can find plenty quotes of young niggas saying cole gave them ideas, it's just something that happens when u that nigga for almost a decade.

if you erased kendrick from history, hip hop wouldn't be altered that much just like cole erasure. take niggas like drake, kanye, wayne or even niggas like thug/future/keef out of history and the whole sound and overall culture changes, some of these young kids might not even recognize the artform. like there's a clear difference there, maybe kendrick will be as impactful as them in the future but it's just not there right now.

Imagine thinking Tyler has no influence. He alone changed how a hip hop show is looked at now.
